NICOLE OCKMOND:
Nicole, is a local singer/songwriter/painter this show will have 8 paintings by Nicole, 3 of which, grace the cover of the CD album.

Listeners can expect story telling at its best with smooth hypnotic grooves, perfect to accompany a lazy Sunday morning or a roots rocking Saturday night and a few surprises.

We're back at the lighthouse of Mid City!  We'll be doing it as only we can.  Mark Farmer on keys, Ezell Smith Jr. on drums, Gary Washington on bass, Chris Woyton on guitar, & lil ole me on guitar and vocals.  Excited for our first performance with Gary.  He is a Killer from Manila on Bass although he's not an actual killer or even from Manila.  Not to be missed! Drag your buttocks away from the TV on a Tuesday and come check us out.  Ezell says they have awesome food too.  He esp. recommends the shrimps :).

We Are the 9

I'll be taking part in this singer/songwriter's evening.  Here's a little bit about it.

The 9 returns to Howlin' Wolf (The Den) April 13th 8:30pm

Founded in 2008 by singer/songwriter Justin Trawick, "The 9 Songwriter Series" is a touring songwriter collective and live show based in Washington, DC. The show was created with the idea of nine artists getting together and combining their talents in order to play in nicer clubs and to larger amounts of people. Each installment features nine solo singer/songwriters performing together in a unique and captivating format, telling stories, and often sitting in each each other and making up music on the spot. Where else can you hear almost 30 songs from nine different artists in one evening? To date, over 300 different artists have participated in "The 9", at shows in DC, Baltimore, Annapolis, Philadelphia, New York, Fairfield, Boston, Richmond, Charlottesville, Charlotte, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New Orleans
